To celebrate the 40th anniversary of Ridley Scott’s groundbreaking sci-fi horror film ALIEN (1979), six visionary filmmakers were selected to bring their Alien-inspired stories to life. Vancouver based directors Kailey and Sam Spear were chosen as one of the 6, and I was invited by them to work on the film's motion graphics and to create the movie poster.
We sent 20th Century Fox 2 concepts from a total of 6, one being more abstract and the other requiring some original shots. This is the more abstract version, using the green lighting from the original ALIEN poster. The film premiered at the H.R. MacMillan Space Centre in Vancouver with the cast and crew signing a copy of the poster below.
