In 2021, I experienced a heartbreaking reminder of the isolation that can exist in our modern world when my missing neighbor was found in his apartment, having passed away unnoticed for nearly two months. The experience was both shocking and unsettling, leading me to explore themes of loneliness, connection, and the spaces we occupy—both physically and emotionally.

This body of work, Alone/Together, reflects on the quiet struggles we all encounter, but also on our deep capacity for connection. It acknowledges moments of isolation while emphasizing the resilience of the human spirit and the ways we reach for one another. Through these pieces, I invite viewers to consider how we can foster awareness, empathy, and meaningful connections in a world that often feels fragmented.
